This Italian aircraft has got a new sassy look

(CNN) – When it was released in October 2021, ITA Airways, Italy’s new carrier, promised to bring a “100% Italian experience” to the air.

And now, nearly eight months later, the plane has unveiled its new look, with new clothes and food designed by renowned Italian chefs.

The new model was unveiled on the ITA side of three long -haul Airbus A350-900s – the aircraft, according to the company, is their “new messenger.”

True to their all -Italian promise, the interior of the A350 was named after Walter De Silva, a car manufacturer who worked for Fiat and Seat, before becoming head of design at Volkswagen. De Silva took his inspiration from the song “Il cielo in una stanza,” or “The sky in a room,” he said in an advertisement.

That’s how to bring blue into the plane – but the red blue isn’t designed for the exterior of ITA planes, but a lighter blue, at midnight. In the economy, that blue becomes the basis of the seat, with a sandstone in the middle. The colors are changed for “driver comfort” seats that have less foot room, and for office desk chairs. The bow is in the Three colors flags on the heads, too.

For long journeys, the course will be illuminated according to the location of the flight (flight, departure, mid -flight, and meal times) as well as sunrise, sunset and the night.

ITA plans to slowly upgrade its fleets from its current Alitalia fleet to a new fleet of Airbuses, predicting that by the end of 2025, 75% of fleets will be less affected by global disasters, new aircraft.

Now, the outfits – designed by Bruno Cuccinelli – jump to a casual outfit, with women able to wear white sleeveless T -shirts with dress shirts on top. A traditional dress, close to Alitalia’s dark blue dresses, is another option for runners. Women can choose between a shirt or blouse, while men’s clothing complements Alitalia’s navy coats with large gold buttons.

Fiona Sinclair Scott, global editor of CNN Style, sees the new outfits as a new take on the classic look.

“There was a time when air travel was so beautiful, regardless of living … working long hours,” he said.

“Today, travel is more regular and there are more garage groups.

“Workplace clothing has become a thing of the past in all industries so it’s not surprising to see the inclusion of a T-shirt in these new designs, for example. This can be done in a traditional way such as a mini cut or skirt and a choice of shoes for women.

“Brunello Cucinelli showed off some double breasted dresses in his last two men’s collections and they also took this line.”

The clothes will be rolled up in the months to come, just like an airplane. ITA’s gradual introduction of new features below the cost reductions for the aircraft was born out of the Alitalia crash.

Then there’s the food. From June 2, intercontinental flights will serve dishes prepared by some of Italy’s best chefs, starting with Enrico Bartolini – the only chef in history to be awarded four Michelin stars in one year.

There is Bartolini’s first guide to the business class pappa with tomatoTomato-and-hot “pap” bread from his native Tuscany, and chicken baked with Amalfi spices, such as lemon.

Economy will see a “revised menu,” as every food and beverage on board will have an Italian logo or food.

In the future, check that out italianità see coffee served as a “knowledge” and health “independent knowledge” on board. Whether the leadership considerations will be included, even though some airlines have their systems fun to fly, or full training, as Virgin Atlantic offers, is unclear.

The ITA applies to its map. It starts routes from Rome to Los Angeles, Sao Paulo and Buenos Aires this month.
