Ruby Hotels will pay employee stamps

(CNN) — In today’s post-hospitality era, having the best employees is everything. Now a hotel company has decided to entice stellar employees by offering a golden wrist – a free tattoo if they stick out for six months.

Germany’s Ruby Hotels, which has 16 properties in Europe, is offering new guests up to €500 ($511) to get a new tattoo, haircut or haircut when they reach six months of the job.

And in about a month since the launch of the plan in June, requests to work with the brand have already increased by 25% – even though it was the summer holiday season in Europe.

“Given the shortage of workers in the hotel industry in Europe, this is a very welcome solution,” said Uta Scheurer, Ruby’s vice president of human resources.

Advertising is part of the focus, he said – but more importantly, it’s about attracting the kind of employees they want in their hotels: “The things team play that honors character, spirit and individuality,” the club wrote in a statement.

“Ruby wants to encourage its employees to create their own success stories, to express their individuality and to show the work as well.”

“We love people with personality and that’s what we want to talk about,” Scheurer said.

Scheurer – who owns the tattoo himself – told CNN, “It’s the combination of everyone that makes Ruby unique and successful.”

Ruby hotels are anything but ordinary.

He continued: “Tattoos, tattoos and hair are personal.

“They are different for each person, think for each, with a meaning. In Ruby, each employee can be themselves. Many companies are saying; We show with this announcement.”

He added: “By the way, everyone loves tattoos [not piercings or hairdos]. We are showing nerve with our approach. “

And if current employees feel left out, they won’t last long. The program worked well and they expanded. When an employee receives a new item, the brand will pay a stamp for each of them.

The campaign will run until the end of the year.
