Linus Health has announced that about the brain, it has completed Kinesis Health Technologies, an Irish startup that specializes in physical therapy.
A University College Dublin spin-out, Kinesis focuses on counting walking, balance, movement, falling and weakness.
However, Boston -based Linus Health focuses on providing digital tools to help physicians evaluate cognitive and brain function. The organization’s evaluation can be used in a number of settings, including research, veteranship and medical care, according to its website.
Linus Health said this finding will help her expand its range of services to include physical and cognitive assessments, noting that the two are often linked.
“The more we can open up about a person’s brain health, the faster we can help providers get involved when something goes wrong,” he said. David Bates, CEO of Linus Health, said in a statement. “Having Kinesis gives us the opportunity to extend our progress in the key areas of gait, balance, and mobility – and to gain relevant information to compare our experience with patient health and related issues to better understand our guidance and care recommendations. ‘looking forward to partnering with the Kinesis team to enhance our team result.’
Why it is
According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, more than 16 million people in the U.S. have cognitive impairment. That number is expected to grow as the U.S. population continues to grow.
While Linus Health has been monitoring brain health for a while, this new discovery will help him jump into the gym. Physical activity can be linked to dementia, according to a study published in Neuroepidemiology.
THE GREAT WORK
Linus Health, who counted $ 55 million in Series B funding in July 2021 is in the process of moving to the corporate location. In 2021, he joined Cognito Therapeutics, a digital-therapeutic organization dedicated to treating neurodegenerative diseases such as Alzheimer’s.
Kinesis has been operating in the public health center since 2014. In 2015, the company announced its data can be stored in the app that can evaluate the impact of the crash.
High -tech gamers also like to focus on cognitive decline. In 2021, Apple and Biogen have launched a virtual study on the cognitive decline being observed on Apple Watch and iPhones.
