Plants are often exposed to many herbivores, and the number of these invaders varies greatly in the field. Herbivore herbivore and density are known to be two major drivers of plant interactions among herbivores, but their combined effects are not clear.

The Invasive Ecology Group from the Wuhan orchard of the Chinese Academy of Science interviewed this research valley using Triadica sebifera (tallow), an important herbicide, and two biomarkers, Bikasha collaris. (flea beetle) and Heterapoderopsis bicallosicollis (weevil). .

The researchers investigated the effect of different levels of damage to leaves affected by swimming weevils or adult weevils on the production of root -feeding pig waste on of regulating the size of these two parent plants.

They found that leaf weevil damage reduced the survival of larval ferns as leaf damage increased. In contrast, herbivory by adult larvae promotes larval survival at low feedings, and the result is reversed at high feed rates. In addition, chemical experiments have shown that the root can be the primary cause and level of metabolism under the effects seen in flea bites.

This study demonstrates that herbivore knowledge and density determine the response of systemic plants and the interaction of plants between herbivores. Importantly, the effects exerted by plants on the herbivore are nature-specific to the first low herbivore density, but combined with high herbivore densities, and are common among herbivores feeding on the same plant.
