Earth’s Mercury shines after sunset in April

In the beginning of April, our evening sky was completely devoid of bright stars; That’s the story for the first half of this month. But that changes as we go to the second half of April.

Ironically, that evening planet that appears shortly after sunset is often said to be the hardest of the five brightest stars to see: Mercury.
