Turkish striker Burak Yilmaz has called Cristiano Ronaldo the best player of all time ahead of their World Cup Qualifier playoffs with Portugal.
While he shares his admiration for the Portuguese striker, Yilmaz is keen to win the Qatar World Cup at the expense of Ronaldo. Speaking to the press before their game against Portugal (via Spox’s Twitter page), Burak Yilmaz says:
“For me, Cristiano Ronaldo is the greatest player of all time in the world. I appreciate and love him very much. I don’t know if it will be his last World Cup, but I know he will be my last. I want to. go to school and do my best to help my country. “
Portugal and Turkey finished second in their own competition groups, which saw them drop to the playoffs to reach the World Cup. The winner of this match against Italy or Northern Macedonia will secure a place in this year’s exhibition tournament in Qatar.
This will probably be the last time for Cristiano Ronaldo to win the World Cup with Portugal. The 37 -year -old has attended the World Cup four times in his career but only finished at a high of four in 2006.
The Ballon d’Or has won five times to six goals at the group stage, with a hat -trick against Luxembourg before the announcement.
However, it should be noted that Cristiano Ronaldo will not score a goal against Turkey on the world stage. The Manchester United striker has twice played for Turkey in his career and has no goals so far.
Portugal has a team that could qualify for the World Cup and do well in Qatar. The likes of Bruno Fernandes, Diogo Jota, Bernardo Silva and Joao Felix are all big names doing well on the club stage.
Cristiano Ronaldo is Manchester United’s current top manager
Cristiano Ronaldo came to the semifinals of the World Cup Qualifiers on the back of some kind of good team. The 37 -year -old has scored 18 goals and given three assists to 32 appearances for Manchester United this season.
Ronaldo is the Red Devis ’top scorer this season. Nine goals ahead of second and Portuguese teammate Bruno Fernandes.
Ronaldo was the top scorer for his team despite an unstoppable run in front of goal at the end of the year. The Portuguese striker has had 10 games where he has scored just one for Manchester United.
