China has achieved a complete victory in poverty reduction through years of hard work and a system of work, much more consistent with the implementation of a poverty reduction policy envisaged in 2013.

Many poor people living in the poorest areas in the mountainous regions of southwestern China are affected by global disasters. However, the link between economic development and globalization, which is being replaced by poverty reduction policies, is unclear.

Lan Hengxing and Tian Naiman from the Institute of Geographic Sciences and Natural Resources Research of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, along with their colleagues, intended to explain the effects and actions of poverty alleviation policies in driving the global disaster to the poorest areas, and analyzing the changes in the disaster risk in southwestern China from 2009 to 2017.

The researchers found that the policy was related to the driving patterns and how those inflection areas of that problem occurred. Since the implementation of the poverty alleviation policy, the economic losses caused by global disasters have been significantly reduced in southwestern China, especially in poorer areas.

“Social change is an important factor in changing the relationship between the economic level and natural disasters.

This study shows that the mitigation policy has significantly reduced global disasters in southwestern China, especially in poorer areas, by reducing awareness of the problem and improving community resilience.

“The findings of this study have some scientific value for integrating poverty alleviation implementations. Poverty alleviation to ensure our success in poverty alleviation,” said Prof. And.
