Some of the expected solar storms on Earth this week have increased Earth’s aurora, making spectacular displays such as this one on a rural building in Canada captured by a graphic designer.
Photographer Jenny Hagan snapped this photo of the northern lights as they collided with greens and reds in midwestern Saskatchewan amid some storms from the sun in recent days.
“The night sky gives a lot of people to see from our small space on Earth,” Hagan told Space.com in an email.

On Wednesday night and Thursday in the early hours of the morning, astronauts like Hagan spotted the aurora in Canada, the northern U.S. and in New Zealand from some of the sun’s rays earlier. of prayer.
Satellites with NASA’s Solar Dynamics Observatory received the action from space, and Hagan observed the effect of light displaying the effects of coronal mass ejections (streams of irradiated solar particles) on striking the Earth’s magnetic field in the event of space. Hagan took the picture (and more, as you can see in this story) with a Canon 80D, mounted it on a tripod and opened it for a period of three seconds. “The night sky gives a lot of people to see our small space on Earth,” Hagan said, adding satellites and stars to provide light that open in the dark.

Hagan was also able to take a break of the air from his stand.

“Just south of the small town of Laporte … I was set up by an abandoned farm in the 1950s,” Hagan told Space.com in an email. Hagan worked on a field (grass) about three hours southwest of downtown Saskatoon.
“There are many scenes like this in rural Saskatchewan, the land of the living heaven,” Hagan continued, “and the stories of the past are giving way to a wider audience. of our sky. ” You can see more of Hagan’s work on BackRoadPhotos.ca and on Instagram.
The clouds are gone now but he got some great pictures of #aurora tonight at Laporte #saskatchewan pic.twitter.com/OTf2Un7h5HMarch 31, 2022
Hagan was too far from the sky to see the northern lights this week from the sun’s rays. Here’s a taste of what astronauts have seen and shared with the black skies in the northern parts of North America.
I can’t believe this happened tonight. 8 meteorology students, 3 mechanical engineering students, 2 journalists, and 1 meteorologist also looking at the northern lights. This went better than expected. So, very happy. #sdwx #Aurora @sdsmt #NorthernLights pic.twitter.com/2SKkEhyqKuMarch 31, 2022
The Bz wasn’t very good for most of the night, but the usual 1-2am “aurora hour” came with a show! #akwx #aurora pic.twitter.com/PKaFndganmMarch 31, 2022
Here is a small moment of the explosion of the northern lights from last night in Churchill, MB. Take a look at how fast the aurora moves – these are just two examples. We had some amazing coronas. #Aurora #northernlights #auroraborealis pic.twitter.com/NVq0xOLHwBMarch 31, 2022
I was lucky to find myself on a dirt road in North Dakota where this tractor was waiting for me while the lights were dancing. This is probably my favorite shot from last night’s Aurora show in ND. I am always happy! #Ndwx #aurora #pic.twitter.com/vQ4VWfMj4CApril 1, 2022
Have a good climb !! This is my first time seeing aurora #aurora #cowx pic.twitter.com/AMdWmHE5QZMarch 31, 2022
