A New Shepard rocket screamed from the board on the 20th mission

Blue Origin released six vehicles on board its New Shepard – the 20th flight of the rocket system for the group and the fourth with the people.

The NS-20 mission was fired from the group’s airport in West Texas at 8:57 am CDT (13:57 UTC) March 31, 2022, at the West Texas airfield north of Van Horn. This is a delay from March 29th.

The New Shepard rocket’s BE-3 engine fired less than 2.5 minutes before taking off. pushing the capsule and its crew at a speed of about 2,236 miles per hour (3,599 kilometers per hour).

In all, the six people on the plane experienced a 10 -minute journey, climbing about 66.5 miles (107 kilometers) above Earth before the capsule was formed. to a parachute -assisted landing at 9:07 am CDT (14:07 UTC).

The six members of the NS-20 missionary who joined the professionals were former engineers and non-profit owners. Also included was Blue Origin’s chief architect, Gary Lai, who replaced “Saturday Night Live” comedian Pete Davidson, who left two weeks ago without explanation.

Lai spent 18 years with Blue Origin, developing the New Shepard capsule and rocket it currently uses.

The other drivers were Marty Allen, general manager of a general store; Marc Hagle is a residential and business developer; Sharon Hagle, founder of a nonprofit; Jim Kitchen, a salesman; and Drs. George Niels, president of Commercial Space Technologies.

Each car was taken in a letter with them on the flight today to support Blue Origin’s “Club for the Future” with the aim of encouraging others to pursue scientific careers, Technology, engineering and mathematics.
